UPSU Shoebox Appeal

UPSU would like to invite you to help spread joy to others this festive season by supporting the Rotary Club Shoebox Appeal.

Many of you may already be familiar with the Rotary Club Shoebox Appeal project which encourages participants to fill up a shoebox with toys, gifts, and supplies to spread a little happiness to children during the festive period.

On Friday 10th December, UPSU will be hosting a shoebox packing event. Shoeboxes from the Rotary Club will be supplied and there will be a few items that have been purchased in bulk that are available for you to include in your box. All participants will need to bring their own items to include in their boxes.

Check out what you can include in your box below!

Alternatively, you can help support the project by buying items in bulk from the Amazon Wish List. The items on this list are typically cheaper to buy in bulk and will be delivered straight to the Union building. If you would like to donate items in this way, you will need to order them by the 5th of December to give enough time for delivery prior to the event on the 10th of December.

When gathering items for your own box, please be considerate and think about ways to be sustainable! Go to charity shops or ask around to see if anyone has any spare items as well as buying new - get creative!

There will also be some limited light refreshments (please bring your own cup!).

If you would like to purchase your own Rotary Club Shoeboxes within teams and pack them in your own time, you can drop these off at Third Space between 10am and 4pm on Friday 10th December for UPSU to include them in the collection.

All shoeboxes will be collected by the Rotary Club before being sent to disadvantaged children and people across Eastern Europe.

Christmas jumpers are encouraged!

We look forward to seeing you there!
